About This Project

Tillys, a fast-growing destination specialty retailer of West Coast inspired apparel, footwear and accessories, selected TAIS to implement its new Oracle Commerce ATG and Endeca omnichannel platform. The project’s goal was to re-platform Tillys .net in-house built platform to enable business users to make site changes quickly and without involving the IT team. Additionally, Tillys wanted a highly optimized site with very fast page-load times that could scale with ease to support the company’s growth and most of all, the site had to be stable.

To achieve Tillys goal, TAIS used its Oracle-approved, Oracle Commerce Accelerator to ensure the implementation of a very feature-rich, omnichannel application within a 5-6 month timeline. The platform had to be rock-solid as it was going live right before the holiday shopping season.

Following is a high-level list of work completed upon the initial launch:

  • Implemented Oracle Commerce in under 6 months to meet pre-holiday deadline
  • Built with responsive design
  • Integrated with numerous third-party vendors and their in-house OMS Application
  • Implemented complex customizations to Endeca Search and Experience Manager (XM)
  • Optimized the platform’s performance and conducted load testing

  • Native iOS and Android Apps


After the launch of the new Oracle Commerce omnichannel solution, Tillys experienced a significant increase in traffic and sales.
